Who Can Become a Member
EUSOI welcomes all professionals with an interest in ocular inflammation and related systemic disease. Membership is open to clinicians, scientists and allied health professionals working in clinical care, research or education.
- Ophthalmologists involved in the diagnosis and management of uveitis and other inflammatory eye diseases
- Rheumatologists, immunologists and internists caring for patients with systemic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions affecting the eye
- Other medical specialists whose practice involves ocular inflammatory manifestations
- Basic, translational and clinical researchers with a focus on ocular immunology and inflammation
- Allied health professionals, including nurses, optometrists, orthoptists and imaging specialists supporting care of patients with ocular inflammation
- Trainees and early-career professionals who wish to develop expertise in this field

EUSOI offers several membership categories to reflect different stages of training, professional roles and geographical locations.
Full Member
For qualified medical specialists and researchers with an established focus on ocular inflammation or related systemic disease, who wish to contribute actively to the scientific and educational mission of the Society.
Trainee / Young Member
For residents, fellows, PhD candidates and early-career professionals who are developing their expertise in ocular inflammation and wish to engage with a supportive pan-European network.
Allied Health Professional
For nurses, optometrists, orthoptists, imaging specialists and other allied health professionals involved in the multidisciplinary care of patients with ocular inflammatory disease.
Associate / International Member
For professionals with an interest in ocular inflammation who are based outside the primary geographical focus of the Society, or who collaborate with EUSOI in research, education or clinical initiatives.
How to Join
Becoming a member of EUSOI is a simple process. Prospective members are invited to complete an online application form, providing brief information about their professional role, area of practice and interest in ocular inflammation.
Applications are reviewed and confirmed by the Society in line with its membership criteria. Once approved, new members receive confirmation of their status and information on how to access member activities and communications.
